Biochemical Pathways

On of the important features of EXPOLDB is the unique oppurtunity to examine the expression and variability of genes in different biochemical pathways across multiple individuals including unrelated individuals and monozygotic twins. EXPOLDB provides a graphical view of the variation in gene expression across different individuals. The search can be made by selecting a pathway from the list box available in the two query pages " Differential expression" and "Expression in Blood". The results of the query are displayed on the "Results" Page. Here the user can select a few genes by checking the boxes or can examine all the shown genes at once. The expression for the genes is shown in the form of bar graphs for 'Unrelated individuals', 'Female Twin Pairs' and 'Male Twin Pairs'. The mean expression of the genes in different datasets is shown as a horizontal line". An example of results of a selected pathway "Glycolysis" are displayed here "Glycolysis Pathway"
